The War on Terror took a step in the wrong direction last Friday. Attorney General Eric Holder announced for the second time the trial of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri has been postponed. al-Nashiri was the chief architect of the bombing of the USS Cole.

American Hikers about to be tried in Iran?

The Iranian government has decided to try the three American hikers who strayed into Iranian back in July. This trial has the potential to become a tipping point in US - Iranian relations if carried out. Under Iranian law if found guilty the crime is punishable by death.

Yemen, a new front against al-Qaida?

In response to new threats from al-Qaida the state department "locked down" the US Embassy in Yemen today. Apparently the state department believes that the embassy could be a potential target for the "several hundred" al-Qaida who are believed to be operating in Yemen.
