It Sucks To Be: Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson is the winner of this weeks “It Sucks To Be:” award. Over the years I have watched his movies and enjoyed them for the most part. He seemed like a nice enough guy.
I am not sure what stardom does to a person. A couple of years ago Gibson was on top of the world. A 30 year marriage, 8 kids – producer/director of one of the all time box office winners in The Passion of the Christ. This man had it all!
Then something happened to him. In the span of 2-3 years he divorces his wife, goes off on Jewish people and last week www.radaronline.com releases an audio tape of him supposedly going off on his girlfriend. Verbally slamming her, the way she looks etc. etc.. He goes on to make a couple racial slurs, profanity everywhere – all the the things you expect of a guy in meltdown.
As with every winner of this award - Gibson has brought this on himself. I read earleir today the agency that represents him has dropped him. I guess he will just have to get by on the $200 million he reportedly has in the bank.
I hope the guy gets his life back in order. But for now, It Sucks To Be Mel Gibson!!!
Can’t understand why so many pundits are making such a big deal over Mel Gibson. He is just a fantastic actor and we should be happy he has created such interesting movies.

mel gibson is a waste of space!!!! how many more times will he offend almost everyone he comes into contact with? i dread to consider what the next unfathomable thing to come out of his mouth could be, i really can’t stand the man… so perhaps maybe he made one or two decent movies!!! lets not forget he also made a lot of really poor ones!!! ok, rant finished.
