On Facebook earlier today I made a comment regarding President Obama and Vladimir Putin that I want to discuss a little further. I basically said that I trust a former KGB agent more than I trust my own President. That’s a bold statement.
How I got there. My antenna regarding Barack Obama went up in 2007, when he announced that he was going to run for President. I knew who he was because I listened to him speak at the Democrat convention prior to that. He gave a great speech at the Convention.
The natural thing to do regarding a lessor known candidate is to start researching them right? So I did. I googled articles, I researched websites. Prior to 2007 there wasn’t much information regarding Barack Obama. I thought how can someone just show up out of nowhere, take on Hillary Clinton (the Democrat heir apparent) and basically route her in the primaries?
So after he started to “catch on” we started to learn a little more. But still the details were few – only later did we learn that the lack of information regarding Obama was by design. The media willingly decided to not vet the man.
We learned that his college records were sealed. We learned there may have been a problem with his birth certificate. We also learned that he may have renounced his American citizenship at some point. I am getting more suspicious by the day.
In 2008, Obama becomes President of the United States and yet we still don’t that much about him. For the most part one has to resign themselves to the fact they never will know.
In the 3rd – 4th year of his first term, problems start to happen. Fast and Furious. Spying scandals, Benghazi, IRS problems and the NSA issues. How does President Obama handle these problems? Does he come clean? Does he explain the scandals or the problems? No, he either lies about them or he refuses to answer the questions. What’s more his entire administration lies for him!!!
By the end of his first term I’m at the point where I don’t believe a word he says. He opens his mouth and I close my ears. He speaks to the American people on TV and I turn the TV off. He doesn’t have an ounce of credibility with me.
Today, the President wants to take us to war with the Syrian government. He says he knows that Assad used chemical weapons on his own people. He says we have to respond – even if that means we have to go it alone. He says our military can take out the threat with a surgical missile strike.
Putin says wait a minute Obama. No so fast. Putin says the rebels have chemical weapons as well. He further states that his intelligence agency provided the intel to our agencies! Today Putin produced a 100 page document with the details. Also remember too that the UN’s job was to determine if chemical weapons were used not WHO used them. Even the Israelis have communication intercepts of the rebels discussing the chemical attacks. So, who are you going to believe?
I challenge each of you to logically think this through. Consider how the President has handed the situations he has dealt with the past four years. While I still consider Putin as “one of the bad guys” our President has misled us so much that I am listening to what Putin has to say.
